Jesus is the only way to Heaven

Your sins must be forgiven… and Jesus is the only way to receive forgiveness of your sins.

How to Become a Christian

Jesus Christ provides the only way into Heaven and into a right relationship with God. God told Moses at Mount Sinai that there must be a blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus is the only one that gave His life on the cross for the forgiveness of Sins.

God is displeased with all sin. God demands repentance in order for you to enter Heaven when you die. What is repentance? Repentance is regret for past sins and then making a choice to not sin anymore.

All your sins are forgiven when you make Jesus Christ the Lord (Boss) of your life. Belief in Jesus means that you have changed your behavior and will continue in a lifestyle that pleases God.

Why is Jesus the Only Way to Heaven? The Cross of Christ.

Have you ever wondered why there is such emphasis on the cross of Christ? We see the cross around people’s necks and in churches. But why the cross? What is important about the cross? The cross carries a message of love from God to the world. God will forgive all your sins when you turn your life over to Jesus Christ.

Sin is an offense against God. Jesus died on the cross so that the sins of all people could be forgiven. God demanded a blood sacrifice for sins. Jesus had to die as a sacrifice for all your sins so that you could be in right standing with God.

Many people will react unfavorably to this message, but this is the truth:

Through faith in Jesus Christ, sincere repentance, and trusting Him with one’s life, God offers complete forgiveness and a new beginning with no remembrance or record of your past sins.

When you dedicate your life to God through Jesus, your sins are forgiven.

The cross is offensive to some because it confronts us with our sinfulness. The cross confronts us and demands that we either accept forgiveness for our sins or continue living without God. All of us must choose between living our lives according to God’s rules or continuing to live in rebellion against God. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is a means by which you can become a friend of God instead of an enemy of God.

God loves people, and He wants to bring all people to Himself. There is only one way to be in good standing with God. Without Jesus, there is no forgiveness of sins. Without forgiveness of sins, there can be no real relationship with God. And without a relationship with God there will no eternal home in Heaven.

There has never been a prophet, spiritual leader, or holy man who died for the forgiveness of your sins, except for Jesus. Therefore, Jesus is the only way to God. You must confront this question: Who will I follow? Will you follow God, or will you follow your own way?

Because of God’s love for the world, He provided the only way for us to be in right relationship with Him. God has already shown His love for you through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, so that all your sins may be forgiven when you receive Jesus as the Boss of your life.

So why is Jesus the only way to get into Heaven?

God told Moses that a blood sacrifice was required for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus is the only One God sent into the world to die for your sins. When you receive Jesus as the Boss and Master of your life, you are clothed with a shield that hides your sins. When God sees you, He sees only the righteousness of Jesus. God no longer sees your sins.

What is Repentance from sin?

Repentance is when we regret our sins, turn away from sinful acts, and resolve to obey God’s commands.

Will “being a good person” gain me entrance into Heaven?

The short answer is “No.” You must also dedicate your life to Jesus Christ. To enter Heaven, Jesus must become your Lord, Master, and Ruler.

Being a good person is not enough to get you into Heaven. You must also have faith or belief in Jesus, which produces good deeds.

Real faith (belief) in Jesus will lead you to dedicate your life to God and live according to God’s commandments. Is that complicated? Yes, it is a bit confusing to most people because they believe that “being good” is the way to get to Heaven. That notion is wrong. Without Jesus as your Lord, Boss, and Ruler, there is no forgiveness of sins and no entry into Heaven.

Said another way: When you truly believe in Jesus, you will have dedicated your life to God and will seek to obey His commandments. So, your belief in Jesus will compel you to be a good person. Your belief in Jesus and your adherence to Him will allow you to enter Heaven.

The Bible says, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” Paul the Apostle, 1 Timothy 2:5

Call upon God and ask Him to forgive you for the sins you have committed. God loves you and will surely forgive all your sins if you ask Him. You never need a priest to forgive your sins. Always go directly to God and ask Him to forgive your sins.

The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son [Jesus], that whoever believes in Him [Jesus] should not perish, but have eternal life.Apostle John 3:16

Pray this prayer and speak to God so that your sins are forgiven.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know I am a sinner and reject and repent of all my sins. I recognize You as my God, Master, and Lord, and I ask for Your forgiveness. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to die on the cross so that my sins could be forgiven.

As true Christians, we receive forgiveness for past sins when, with obedient faith, we submit our lives to God through Jesus Christ (Messiah). Proof of your faith in Jesus is seen in your obedience to his commands.

Therefore, obey Jesus throughout your life and seek baptism in water at your first opportunity. Baptism signifies that you have chosen to follow Jesus for the rest of your life.

You will need to find new godly Christian friends who will faithfully support you through all the difficulties life presents. Bad friends will influence you to engage in bad behavior. Therefore, seek new godly friends who will influence you to stay on the narrow path that leads to God.

Jesus Forgives Sins

Your sins must be forgiven… and Jesus is the only way to receive forgiveness of your sins.

Without the forgiveness of sins, there is no hope of ever living in paradise with God. There is no other way to receive forgiveness of sins except through Jesus. All prophets, teachers, spiritual leaders, and so-called holy men who claim to offer Heaven without Jesus are fooling you.

Again, there is only one way to get to Heaven, and that is by and through Jesus Christ. There is only one way to receive forgiveness of sins, and that is by following and receiving Jesus Christ as the Master of your life. Therefore, reject sin and allow Jesus to become the Boss of your life. Remain a faithful and obedient follower of Jesus until death.

Do you want to live in Paradise Forever? You must make Jesus the Boss of Your Life.

All your sins are forgiven when you make Jesus Christ the Master, Lord (Boss) of your life. Faith in Jesus means you have changed your behavior and will continue in a lifestyle that pleases God.

True belief in Jesus Christ means giving your whole life to God. When you truly reject sin in your life because of your belief in Jesus, all your sins are forgiven. Your new Christian life, dedicated to Jesus, will require you to live according to God’s will. Your rejection of sin is evidence that your faith in Jesus has made you a real Christian. Therefore, prove your faith in Jesus by rejecting sin in your life.

And if you sin again, ask God to forgive you. You do not need a priest to forgive your sins. God will surely forgive your sins if you ask Him.

False Religious Leaders, Fake Preachers, Phony Prophets, Confused Professors, and Bad Churches

Some false churches teach that sinfulness is acceptable. They claim that forgiveness of sins is necessary to enter heaven, and that this can only be achieved by making Jesus the Lord (Boss) of your life. Faith in Jesus means recognizing Him as the Boss of your life. Faith in Jesus also means following His commandments.

Beware of fake liberal churches that support and promote sinful behavior.

Beware of false prophets like Muhammad, the false prophet of Islam, and other religious teachers who claim there is another way into Heaven besides the one God provided, which is only through Jesus Christ.

Why is Jesus the Only Way to Heaven? The Cross of Christ.

Have you ever wondered why there is such emphasis on the cross of Christ? We see the cross around people’s necks and in churches. But why the cross? What is important about the cross? The cross carries a message of love from God to the world.

Jesus Christ is the one and only way to make peace with God and the only way get into Heaven?

The false gods of Islam, Hinduism, and all other religions CANNOT give you salvation. Salvation means having your sins forgiven and entering Heaven when you die.

Only through Jesus can you receive forgiveness of sins because He was the only One to give Himself as a blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of your sins.

The Bible says, “There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.”  Acts of the Apostles 4:12

Said once again, there is no prophet, no priest, no holy man who can enable you to go to Heaven apart from Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only doorway to Heaven, and all who enter Heaven must be believers and followers of Jesus. Being a follower of Jesus means agreeing to obey God’s commands.

How can I be Saved and Go to Heaven?

The meaning of salvation is that we are kept from going to hell. God threw us a lifeline when He sent Jesus to earth to die for our sins. We become Christians by believing and receiving Jesus as our Boss (Lord), and we are saved from eternal punishment.

A man once asked the Apostle Paul…

“…..Sirs, what must I do to be saved [forever live with God in Heaven].”  Acts of the Apostles, 16:30

The Apostle Paul answered the man and said;

“…..Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved,…..”  Acts of the Apostles, 16:31

Belief in the Lord Jesus Christ means that when you truly believe in Jesus, you will receive Jesus as your Boss. When Jesus is your Boss, you will live a godly life that is deserving of Jesus.

The Apostle Peter spoke concerning Jesus…

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men [Jesus], whereby we must be saved.”  Acts of the Apostles, 16:31

Think of what the Apostle Peter said…

He said that there is no other name [Jesus] by which we must be saved from Hell. Those who are saved will escape the coming wrath of God, which will punish those who disobey and do not believe in Jesus.

God is offended when we sin. God made the earth, and God is the owner of the earth and everything on it. Because God is the owner of all things, God makes the rules, and God’s rules say that we should not sin.

But we can be forgiven of all our sins by receiving Jesus Christ as our Savior. We only need to tell God that we have sinned and that Jesus is the Boss and ruler of our life. However, if you do sin again in the future, you need only to tell God that you have sinned, and God will forgive you.

Will believing in Jesus Christ assure that I will go to Heaven?

The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Apostle John 3:16, NKJV

This Bible verse means that everyone who truly believes in and remains obedient to Jesus will go to Heaven. As Christians, we must remain obedient to God’s commandments. Remember that if you truly believe in Jesus, your life will change into a lifestyle that pleases God. You will leave the life of sin and pursue a life that pleases God.

Salvation and forgiveness of sins are conditioned upon a person believing in Jesus to the extent that they live according to Christ’s commandments.

The Evidence or Proof that we are really Christians is that all true Christians live a lifestyle that pleases God.

The Bible says, “If you love Me [Jesus], keep My commandments.”  Apostle John 14:15, NKJV

The evidence that we are true Christians is proven by our lives of obedience to Christian principles.

Do not let yourself be fooled by fake preachers who say that you can remain in sinful lifestyles and still go to heaven.

What is the true Faith in Jesus?  Only true faith will get you into Heaven.

The Apostle James spoke about the essence of true faith in Christ. Faith in Jesus without the accompanying good deeds is useless.

The Bible says, “ Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself. Yes, a man will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe—and shudder. But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?”  Apostle James 2:17-22

To go to Heaven, you must make Jesus your Boss and remain obedient to God.

Does this mean that we are going to Heaven because we obey God and do good deeds?

We are going to Heaven because we believe and trust in Jesus as our God and Commander (Boss). The good deeds that we do in this life are a consequence of our dedication and faith in Jesus.

The Bible says, “For by grace [unmerited favor] you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works [good deeds], lest anyone should boast.”  Letter to the Ephesians by the Apostle Paul 2:8-9

What Are God’s Commandments?

The Bible says,One of them, a lawyer, asked Him [Jesus] a question, testing Him. ‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?’

Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”  Apostle Matthew 22:35-40

Will you need to change your Sinful Lifestyle?

The answer is yes. You need to repent and alter your lifestyle. You will have to put in a strong effort to avoid sinning again. Changing your friendships and surroundings will help you live a more religious life.

But what happens if you sin again in the future?

God has made provision for the forgiveness of all your sins. If you sin in the future, simply confess to God that you have sinned. You might say something like this to God, “I have sinned. Please forgive me.”

Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments.”Apostle John, 14:15

The Bible says, “This is how we know that we know Him [God]: if we keep His commandments.” Apostle John, 1 John 2:3

The Bible says, “Even so faith, if it has no works [good deeds and righteous behavior], is dead in itself.”  Apostle James 2:17

The Bible clearly states that if good behavior and good deeds do not accompany your belief in Jesus, then your faith is meaningless. When you genuinely become a believer in Jesus, good behavior will naturally follow.

Your sins are forgiven when you make Jesus Christ the master and ruler of your life.

Lust / Sexual Immorality

Premarital sex – Adultery – Wanting to have sex with someone other than a God-given spouse.

Jesus said, “But…..I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.” Apostle Matthew, 5:28

Anger / Unforgiveness

Having hatred for anyone for no good reason. This would include hating someone because of race, color, social class, or any other bad reason.

It is not a sin to be angry about an offense against us, but we must be ready to forgive all those who offend us and to repent of their offense against us.

The Bible says, “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Apostle Matthew, 6:14-15

Homosexuality / Lesbians

The Bible says, “Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous [greedy], nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners [swindlers], will inherit the kingdom of God.”  Paul the Apostle, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

This Bible verse indicates that there will be no homosexuals in Heaven. Jesus said: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” This is the greatest commandment. God’s commandment to love one another does not mean an illicit sexual relationship nor a homosexual relationship. Loving your neighbor as God commands is not sinful. Homosexual relationships are sinful. Homosexuality is evil.

Stealing/ Robbery

The Bible says, “You shall not steal.” Moses, Prophet of God, Exodus 20:15

Lies- Deceit

The Bible says, “Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh [God], but those who do the truth are his delight.” King Solomon, Proverbs 12:22

The Bible says, “Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.” Apostle Paul, Ephesians 4:25

Slander – Evil Speech – Gossip – Abusive Insults

Hatefully calling people insulting names is a sin. Telling bad things about people causes hatred. Gossip and slander will separate the best of friends.

The Bible says, “A perverse man stirs up strife [conflict or quarrel]. A whisperer separates close friends.” King Solomon, Proverbs 16:28

God hates a person who tells lies about another person. God also hates a person who causes a church, a family, or friends to be in conflict. Telling lies about someone is a sin.  Revealing hateful things for no good reason is also a sin.

There is a time and place for proclaiming the truth and exposing any person who destroys unity and creates conflict.

The Bible says, “…, things which Yahweh [God] hates; …a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord [quarrels, arguments, conflict] among brothers.” King Solomon, Proverbs 16:16&19

The Bible says, “…, but now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.” Paul the Apostle, Colossians 3:8

The Bible says, “The one who goes about slandering others reveals secrets, but the one who is trustworthy conceals a matter.” King Solomon, Proverbs 11:13, NET

Drunkenness – Drug Abuse

The Bible says, “Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.” Paul the Apostle, Galatians 5:19-21

The Bible verse above shows that drunkenness, including drug use, is a sin. Drug users and drunkards will not go to Heaven. Also, check out the Bible verse above for other types of people who will not go to Heaven.

God will forgive sins. Repentance means that you have given up sin and no longer want to continue a sinful life. Repentance is necessary for you to go to Heaven.

Idolatry

Praying to saints and lighting candles to saints, such as the Virgin Mary, Joseph, and other saints, is called idolatry. The sin of idolatry, which is idol worship, is disobedience to the 2nd Commandment.

You must never pray to false gods, light candles, or in any way worship or revere false gods. Prayers to the Virgin Mary or any other saint are sins against God.

The Bible says in the 2nd of the 10 Commandments, “You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me, and showing lovingkindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.” Moses, Prophet of God, Exodus 20:4-6

Worship of False gods – Bad Religions

Allah, the god of Islam, is a false god. Mohammad, the prophet of Allah, was a liar and a false prophet. Allah, the god of Islam, is actually a devil and may be otherwise known as Satan, the Devil, or Lucifer.  Do not worship the devil.

The Hindu gods are false gods. There are many false religions with their own particular gods and minor deities (saints), but there is only one true God, the creator of all things.

Only through Jesus is there an opportunity to have a relationship with the one and only true God, the creator of everything seen and unseen. There is no other way to go to heaven except through Jesus.

Murder – Abortion

Child Abuse – Cruelty – Homosexual Groomers

Witchcraft – Sorcery

The foregoing is a short list of common sins. Consult your bible for more sins written in God’s word. The Bible is God’s word, meant to teach us about God and His desires for His people.

The Bible says, “Every Scripture is God-breathed and[a] profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, 17 that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” The Apostle Paul, 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Will being a good person earn me a place in Heaven?

The short answer is NO.  Being a good person will not get you into Heaven when you die. You must also make Jesus Christ the master and ruler of your life.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.”  Apostle John, 14:6

Have you thought of yourself as a good person?

Do you think that being a good person will gain you entrance into Heaven? If you think that being a good person will get you into heaven, then you are wrong. God must forgive your sins, and only through Jesus can you receive forgiveness for your sins. Your good deeds are never enough to earn your way into heaven. Only faith and adherence to Jesus will gain you entry into heaven.

Said once again: Being a good person is NOT enough to get you into heaven. You must also make Jesus the Ruler and Boss of your life.

God will forgive your sins when you make a sincere effort to stop sinning because you have made Jesus the Boss (Lord) of your life. This is called “repentance.”

Remain in the life that Jesus commands us to live. This lifelong dedication to Christ is called “abiding in Him.”

If you sin after dedicating your life to Christ, your sins are forgiven. Tell God that you have sinned. Confess your sins to God, and He will forgive you.

This is an important point to make

To enter Heaven, you must make Jesus Christ your Savior and Lord (Boss) for life. When Jesus is the Boss of your life, you must act like He is the Boss. Therefore, forsake sin and follow Jesus.

If I died today, would I go to Heaven? I have already received Jesus as my Lord (Boss).

The Bible says, “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God [Jesus], that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”  Apostle John, 1 John 5:13

Firstly, this verse refers to Jesus as the “Son of God,” meaning He is a partaker of God’s divine nature. Jesus is God, the 2nd member of the Trinity.

Secondly, when you truly commit your life to God by believing in Jesus Christ as the Lord (Boss) of your life, then you are a true Christian of Christ, and you have already been granted eternal life in Heaven.

Thirdly, this phrase is in the present tense: that you may know that you have eternal life.

This present tense phrase indicates that you have already been granted eternal life with God in Heaven. And if you should die today, then you can have perfect confidence that you will inherit the Kingdom of God as your heavenly home. This applies only to those people who have fully and completely dedicated their lives to God through Jesus.

Will I need to make new friends? Do I need to find a real Bible-believing church?

The Bible says, “Don’t be Fooled! Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”  Apostle Paul, 1 Corinthians 15:33

You will need to make new friends that believe in Jesus and live good lifestyles.

The best opportunity to make friends is at a good, Bible-centered church. There are good churches and bad churches. Many modern churches do not teach moral living.

There are a few Bible-believing churches that teach the truth about good morals and biblical conduct. Find a good church and make lasting friends who will love and support you through good times and hard times.

True Christians will be your friends even when times become difficult.

The Bible says, “One [the person] who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.”  King Solomon Proverbs 13:20

What does this Bible verse mean?

If you hang around with fools, you will also be a fool, and your life will be a mess. Friends influence each other. Acquaint yourself with good Christian people so that you can be mutually helpful in leading moral lives.

You cannot get along well with a sinful person unless you are one yourself. So, leave all those who influence you to do sinful acts. Find new friends who are dedicated to following Christ. A good, Bible-believing church is your best chance to find great friends.

The following verse in the Bible means that after you have committed to living your life to follow Christ, you should be careful not to bind or attach yourself to unbelievers. This applies to business and your personal life.

The Bible says, “Do not be unequally bound together with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness and iniquity [evil deeds]? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?” Paul the Apostle, 2 Corinthians 6:14

I have committed such great sins. Will God forgive me now?

The Bible says, “If we confess our sins, He [God] is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  Apostle John, 1 John 1:9

After you have dedicated yourself to following Jesus, when you confess your sins to God, God will forgive your sins and allow you to have fellowship with Him.

It is not necessary to confess your sins to any man or priest for forgiveness of sins. You don’t need a go-between to reach God’s ears. As mentioned before, there is only one mediator between God and man, and that is Jesus Christ.

The Bible says, “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,”  Apostle Paul, 1 Timothy 2:5

Because the Apostle Paul was very clear that there is only one go-between from God’s ear to us who pray, that rules out prayers to Mary and other saints.

Jesus said, “All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”  Gospel According to Matthew, Matthew 21:22

Forgiveness of sins means that you can have eternal life in God’s kingdom by accepting Jesus as Lord of your life and receiving forgiveness for your sins.

The Bible says, “If we confess our sins, He [God] is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  John the Apostle, 1 John 1:9

Forgiveness means there will be no penalty for your sins. A person who is forgiven will not be in danger of going to hell.

But how are we forgiven of all our sins?

Jesus came to earth and died on the cross so that we could be forgiven of our sins. Now, if we believe (have faith) in Jesus, we are saved from going to hell. To have faith in Jesus means that we dedicate our lives to living according to God’s will and not living a life of sinful behavior.

Jesus died on the cross so our sins could be forgiven. God demanded a blood sacrifice so that all people could be forgiven of their sins, but only if they believed in, trusted in, and followed Jesus. Faith in Jesus means you must live by His commandments for the rest of your life.

Forgiveness of sins means that you can have eternal life in God’s kingdom by accepting Jesus as Lord of your life and receiving forgiveness for your sins.

“If we confess our sins, He [God] is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

The Bible says,If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we haven’t sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”  The Apostle John, 1 John 1:8-10

Forgiveness means there will be no penalty for your sins. A person who is forgiven will not be in danger of going to hell. Jesus came to earth and died on the cross so that we could be forgiven of our sins. Now, if we believe (have faith) in Jesus, we are saved from going to hell. Faith in Jesus means you must live by His commandments for the rest of your life.

Make Jesus the Boss of your life and be forgiven of your sins.

The foolish person will say: “But I believe in Jesus. My faith (belief) alone will permit me to go to Heaven, regardless of the sinful life I choose to live. I will not give up my sins.”

What is Salvation?

Salvation means that you will go to heaven because your sins have been forgiven.

Will an earnest prayer, asking that Jesus be my Lord (Boss), actually save me from God’s wrath? The answer is YES, but you must be serious and genuinely receive Jesus as your Lord and Master (Boss). And when Jesus is your Boss, you must obey and make every effort to follow His commandments.

The Bible says, “For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works [righteous behavior and good deeds] is dead.”  Apostle James 2:26

In other words, if you claim to have faith but do not obey God’s commandments, then your faith is dead and useless. Therefore, if your faith is dead, you will face punishment from God.

But if your faith is genuine and active, you will obey God’s rules and be saved from His wrath.

The Bible says, “But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works [righteous behavior and good deeds] is dead?”  Apostle James 2:20

A person’s good deeds and righteous behavior show faith in Jesus Christ. Believing in Jesus is necessary to inherit the Kingdom of God. Without good, godly actions, there is no genuine faith in Jesus, and no salvation.

Anyone who claims that you can continue living in sin and still go to heaven is lying. Remember, if you sin again after becoming a Christian, you just need to ask God for forgiveness. God will still see you as His child and forgive your sins.

Some preachers believe that saying a simple prayer to invite Jesus into your heart will secure a place in Heaven, even if you keep living a sinful life. Don’t trust such confused people.

    • The belief that Jesus is the second Person of the Godhead (Trinity) is a core Bible truth. Because He is the second Person of the Trinity, He is God.
    • God consists of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
    • Jesus died for the sins of the entire world, meaning all people everywhere must believe in Him and make Jesus their Lord (Boss of their lives) and God.
    • A good church teaches that there is only one way to God, and that way is only through Jesus Christ.
    • In a good church, leadership does not teach doctrines based on man-made rituals that are not supported by the Bible. Bible teaching is crucial for spiritual growth and maturity.
    • The church ministers to people both inside and outside its walls.
    • A good church has strong missionary support.
    • It actively makes disciples—people who learn theology and practice Bible principles.
    • The church welcomes newcomers. It is not exclusive to members only; it reaches out to all who make Jesus their Lord and Savior.
    • A good church values everyone regardless of wealth or race.
    • It demonstrates love through kindness, patience, generosity, and charity.
    • The church prays together and worships God through song, praise, and thanksgiving.
    • It teaches that obeying God means loving and honoring Him. A healthy fear of God encourages obedience and faithfulness. Fear of God means respecting Him and His Word in the Bible.
    • A good church fosters mutual respect between the pastor and congregation.
    • The church works to remove sin from itself. Personal self-examination is key to continually purging sin from individuals and the group. Members should respect others by rejecting sinful living.
    • Kindness and patience are vital traits that support personal spiritual growth.
    • A good church is generous to the poor, widows, orphans, and others in need.

Baptism

The way you are baptized isn’t as important as your reason for being baptized. Whether you are immersed in water or sprinkled with water doesn’t matter. What matters most is that you believe in Jesus Christ and have sincerely decided to dedicate your life to God through Jesus.

The Bible says, “He who believes [in Christ] and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.”  Gospel of Mark 16:16

The Bible says, “[Apostle] Peter said to them, “Repent [change from your sinful lifestyle], and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”  Acts Of The Apostles 2:38

Take Communion

The Lord’s Supper, or Communion, is meant to be a “remembrance of the Lord’s death and sacrifice on the cross.” Do this often, and make sure you have repented of all sins.

Pray Frequently

The Bible says, “In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”  Apostle Paul, Philippians 4:6-7

The Bible says, “Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.”  Apostle Matthew, Matthew 6:9-13

Love Demonstrated by Good Deeds

Good deeds demonstrate love. Christians should love one another. Christians who do not do good deeds are spiritually immature. Jesus gave a command that we must love one another.

Jesus said, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”  Apostle John 13:34-35

There is also a warning to those who DO NOT do good deeds.

Jesus said, “…Come, blessed of my Father [God], inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.

Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’

The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.

Then he (King) will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry, and you did not give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and you did not take me in; naked, and you did not clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit me.’

Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not help you?’

Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”  Apostle Matthew 24:34-46

Share the gospel with those who will listen

Jesus said, “Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen.”  Apostle Matthew 28:18-20

Contribute your talents and skills to Christian Fellowship

Whether you attend a large church or a small home Bible study, the goal is to contribute your God-given gifts to help others.

Join in Bible Studies & Learn

Devote yourself to learning what God says in the Bible. It is important to study the Bible with a good teacher who accurately teaches correct Bible doctrine. Understanding what God wants from you will help you grow spiritually. However, be cautious, because some churches teach traditions, doctrines, and practices that are not found anywhere in the Bible.

After the death and resurrection of Jesus, the first-century Christian church did the following:

The Bible says, “They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.” Acts Of the Apostles 2:42

Give

Give generously of your time and wealth to others. First priority when giving should be allocated to devout Christians.

Many people believe they are Christians, but they will be denied entrance into heaven. It will be tragic for those who are almost Christian to almost get into heaven.

You must make Jesus Christ the Master, Ruler, and Savior of your life, and then prove your faith by living the life God commands you to live.

Apostle Paul wrote this, “…… don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived [fooled]. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.”  Apostle Paul, 1st Corinthians 6:9-10

Jesus is referring to false religious leaders who teach catechism that is not found anywhere in the Bible.

Jesus said these words, These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. And in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrine rules made by men.”  Gospel Of Mathew 15:8-9

Acquaint yourself with real Christians and learn from those who know what the Bible actually teaches. Do not join yourself with unbelievers, as righteousness and lawlessness have no partnership.

The Bible says, “Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?”  Paul the Apostle, 2 Corinthians 6:14-17

Christians share a deep spiritual bond with one another. True believers in Christ have fellowship with one another because we are “walking in the light” as He (Jesus) is in the light.

The Bible says,“But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son, cleanses us from all sin.”Apostle John, 1 John 1:7

The Apostle James was referring to so-called Christians who tell lies and spread rumors about other Christians that are untrue. Show kindness to one another.

Apostle James said this: “If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless.”  Apostle James 1:26

Kindness, love, charity, truthfulness, and generosity are evidence of the love that God desires from Christians.

John the Evangelist said, “He who says he is in the light and hates his brother [fellow Christian] is in the darkness even until now. He who loves his brother [fellow Christian] remains in the light.”  John the Apostle, 1 John 2:9-10

Lukewarm Christians are disobedient.

Apostle Paul wrote this, “They profess that they know God, but by their deeds they deny Him [God], being abominable [horrible], disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.”  Paul the Apostle, Letter to Titus 1:16

The Bible speaks about people who willfully sin as a way of life.

The Bible says, “One [person] who says, ‘I know Him [God],’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His [God’s] word, …God’s love has most certainly been perfected in him. This is how we know that we are in Him [God].”  John the Apostle, 1st John 2:4-5

Everyone in the world sins, but Christians do not sin as a way of life. Christians repent and endeavor to live godly lives. True Christians demonstrate love through their deeds.

The Bible says, “Whoever remains in Him [God]… does not sin. Whoever sins has not seen Him [God] and does not know Him [God].”John the Apostle, 1 John 3:6

The Bible says,“He who sins is of the devil [Satan], for the devil [Satan] has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil [Satan]. Whoever is born of God does not commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”  John the Apostle, 1 John 3:8-9

The following scripture can be used to self-examine oneself to determine whether you are a real Christian or an imposter.

The Bible says,“In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil [Satan]. Whoever does not do righteousness is not of God, neither is he who does not love his brother.”John the Apostle, 1 John 3:10

The Bible says, “Beloved, do not imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. He who does good is of God. He who does evil has not seen God.”John the Apostle, 3 John 1:11

In this Bible verse, Jesus proclaims that He is the only way to reach God. There are many other Bible verses that affirm the same truth.

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father [God] except through me.”  Apostle John 14:6

True Christians love Jesus and obey His commands.

“Jesus answered him, ‘If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him. He who does not love me does not keep my words’…”  Apostle John 14:23-24

The Bible says, “This is how we know that we know Him [God]: if we keep His commandments. One [the person] who says, ‘I know Him [God],’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”John the Apostle, 1 John 2:3-4

People who do good deeds to be seen by men have already received their reward.

Jesus said, “Be careful that you don’t do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does, so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”  Apostle Matthew 6:1-4

False Christians will be denied access to heaven. In this Bible verse, Jesus continues speaking about false Christians, preachers, priests, and unholy prophets.

Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord,’ didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works? Then I will tell them, I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity [evil deeds].”  Apostle Matthew 7:21-23

Greed is a selfish desire and a quest to possess more than one needs.

Jesus said, “…Beware! Keep yourselves from greed, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”  Gospel of Luke 12:15

Greed is the accumulation of things solely for one’s own benefit.

Jesus said, “…So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”  Gospel of Luke 12:21

The proper way to acquire goods is to first seek to please God.

Jesus said, “…But seek God’s Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you. Gospel of Luke 12:31

Be generous to the poor.

Jesus said, “….Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves purses that do not wear out; a treasure in heaven that never decreases, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.” Gospel of Luke 12:33

Share generously with those who do not have enough. Demonstrate Christian love.

The Bible says, “But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him? My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.”  John the Apostle, 1 John 3:17-18

The Apostle Paul wrote these words.

“Command those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to share; laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.”  Paul the Apostle, 1 Timothy 6:17-19

Remember that after you have given your life to God through Jesus, God will support you so that you can live a righteous life.

The Bible says, “….being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Paul the Apostle, Philippians 1:6

The life of a Christian is not easy.  You will encounter many difficulties. God will be with you.

“He [Jesus] said to all, ‘If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake will save it.”   Gospel According to  Luke 9:23-24

God builds Great Character in you.

The Bible says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”Paul the Apostle, Galatians 5:22-23

The Bible is True.

The Bible says, “Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”Paul the Apostle, 2 Timothy 3:16-17

There are many reputable Bible-believing churches that teach the truth from the Bible.

On the other hand, there are many bad churches that do not teach Bible principles and even encourage sinful behavior.

Many modern churches claim to be tolerant. Tolerance of sinful behavior is not a virtue. Tolerance of sin is evil. It is best not to attend bad churches that excuse and tolerate evil behavior.

Fake Christian Churches

Fake Christian churches claim that homosexuality, abortion, fornication (sexual immorality), adultery, and idolatry are acceptable. However, these sins do not please God. God’s approval does not rest on corrupt churches.

Bad churches are failing God because they have allowed secular society to influence church doctrine. These churches call themselves Christian, yet they are not genuine Christian churches.

Archaic Rituals and Commandments of Men

Bad churches adopt principles of ungodly behavior that are embraced by secular society or by false religious traditions created by men, and not by God.

Spiritually corrupt churches teach and promote outdated rituals from centuries ago that lack a biblical basis.

These harmful churches spread false doctrines, such as the immaculate conception of Mary, purgatory, and indulgences. These teachings are not found in the Bible and were not taught by the Apostles or Jesus.

Some religious leaders excuse and encourage sinful behavior.

God has given many warnings in the Bible about such unholy preachers and other wicked men.

Fake Preachers, Priests, and other unholy men

Sin is widespread in many churches because priests and preachers fail to follow God’s commandments themselves and do not teach obedience to God.

Some modern churches have been influenced by secular society. Churches that teach that some sins are acceptable are not true Christian churches. These false Christian churches that do not teach righteous living are cheating their congregants out of a real relationship with God.

Fundraising and the Love of Money

Regarding religious leaders, it is hard for them to speak out against immoral behavior because their finances depend on fundraising success. They tend to avoid controversy by not teaching what the Bible clearly states. After all, they risk losing face, losing popularity, or, more importantly, losing donations.

The Love of Money is the Root of Evil.

The Bible says, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”  Apostle Paul, 1st Timothy 6:10

Failure to Teach Bible Morality

Many Christians who attend church are unaware of God’s commandments and basic Bible theology. Church leaders have failed to teach what God considers sin, including homosexuality, abortion, adultery, and sexual immorality. This moral ignorance is mostly caused by the values promoted by secular society and by Bible teachers who refuse to teach biblical morality.

Neglecting to teach Bible morality is a serious sin that derelict Bible teachers have committed.

Watchmen Guard a City Against Invaders

The Bible mentions “watchmen,” who were historically guards standing watch and protecting city walls from invading armies. The Bible also uses the “watchman” metaphor to refer to religious leaders (priests, preachers, pastors) who are responsible for warning God’s people of His displeasure with their sins and spiritual condition.

Religious leaders who refuse to faithfully teach biblical moral values are neglectful watchmen.

The Bible says, “His [God’s] watchmen are blind. They are all without knowledge. They are all mute dogs. They cannot bark; dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.”  Isaiah, Prophet of God, Isaiah 56:10

The “little ones” Jesus refers to in the passage below are Christians.

Jesus said, “… whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea.”  Apostle Matthew, Matthew 18:5-6

Religious leaders who fail to warn people about God’s coming judgment and eternal punishment will face severe judgment themselves.

The Bible says, “Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment.”  James the Apostle, James 3:1

The Bible says, “When I tell the wicked [person], ‘O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you [watchmen] who do not speak to warn the wicked [person] from his way; that wicked man will die in his iniquity [sins], but I will require his blood at your hand. Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he doesn’t turn from his way, he will die in his iniquity, but you [watchmen, preachers, priests] have delivered your soul.”  The Prophet Ezekiel 33:8-9

Religious leaders will be held accountable for having neglected to speak about biblical morality. Jesus referred to these people as “the blind leading the blind.”

The Bible is our Guide to the Knowledge of God

Fake preachers, priests, and other unholy men dismiss the sacred scriptures (Bible) as merely words written by men. In truth, the Bible is the inspired Word of God.

God’s commandments remain in effect. Those who oppose God will face judgment and His wrath.

Stay loyal to Christ and live a life of obedience. Christians must continue to obey Christ.

Difficult times will come, but never turn away from Jesus and never betray any other Christian.

Standing firm for what is right is difficult, so we must pray for strength.

Jesus knew that our humanity is weak, but prayer and fasting can strengthen us. In the Garden of Gethsemane, before the Roman soldiers came to take Jesus and crucify him, Jesus told the Apostle Peter to pray because Peter was afraid. We sometimes feel scared too. So let us pray that God will give us the strength to stay faithful to Christ.

Should good Christians be embarrassed about their own values?

Christians often hesitate to speak openly about their faith in Jesus the Christ (Messiah). Be brave and courageous. Let your good deeds be seen by everyone as a testimony that you are a Christian.

Never deny that you are a Christian and a follower of Jesus because if you deny your relationship with Jesus, then Jesus will deny you before God the Father.

Jesus said, “But whoever denies me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven.”  Apostle Matthew 10:33

Self-examination to see if we are true Christians

If we claim to be Christian but do not follow God’s commandments, we are fooling ourselves. All Christians should examine themselves to ensure they remain in the faith.

The Bible says, “Examine your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves…”. 2 Corinthians 13:5

Will God forgive us whenever we sin?

Yes, God will continue to forgive all our future sins for the rest of our lives. However, that does not give us permission to sin. We must make a genuine effort to always act righteously so that our relationship with God remains intact. If we do sin, we only need to ask God for forgiveness to return to the right path.

As the Apostle John said…

“If we say that we have fellowship with Him [God] and walk in the darkness [continue to sin], we lie, and do not tell the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He [God] is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from all sin.”  John the Apostle, 1 John 1:6-7

Jesus said something similar, “I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”  Apostle John 15:5-6

The Apostle James spoke to Christians and warned them against turning back to their old, sinful ways.

“Brothers [all Christians], if any among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.”  Apostle James 5:19-20

Repentance means changing from your former sinful lifestyle

Repentance means a personal, complete, final, and unconditional surrender of your life to God. In other words, you make God the Boss of your life and act as if God is in charge. The Bible’s definition of repentance includes sorrow and regret for sin, but it is more than that. When you repent, you make a total change of direction toward a lifestyle that pleases God.

Persecution and Rejection

Living as a genuine, committed Christian will be challenging. Stay strong and never deny Jesus. Never abandon or betray fellow Christians. Be brave and never give up.

Jesus said, “You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.”  Apostle Matthew 10:22

The Apostle James said that life’s troubles produce spiritual endurance, enabling us not to give up the faith when facing difficulties. Christians should be joyful when life presents troubles because it will make us more perfected in our faith.

Apostle James said, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be [spiritually] perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”  Apostle James 1:2-4

Apostle James said, “Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him.”  Apostle James 1:12

Becoming a Christian may cost you your job, friends, wealth, and everything else that is dear to you.

Be ready to Stand Strong for Jesus.

Jesus said, “Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man’s foes will be those of his own household. He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isn’t worthy of me. He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me, isn’t worthy of me.”  Apostle Matthew 10:34-38

Share Your Faith

Share your faith with people interested in Jesus. It can be as simple as sharing something God has done for you.

You do not need to waste your time with people who are not interested in Jesus.

The Bible (Scriptures)

The Scriptures in their original manuscript form are inspired by God. The Holy Spirit inspired the Bible’s authors to write the words of God. All the Scriptures were written for our instruction, encouragement, and edification.

God (Trinity)

There is one and only one living and true God. God is composed of three distinct Persons, namely the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These distinct Persons are referred to as the Trinity.

Jesus Christ is the 2nd Person of the Trinity.

Jesus is the only true God, the 2nd Person of the Trinity, and the only Savior of mankind. Jesus Christ is the ever-existing Son of God who became man without ever ceasing to be God. The Apostle John declared that Jesus is the creator of all things in heaven and earth.

Bible Names and Titles of Jesus

    • Theos” means God. (Jesus is referred to as Theos nine times in the Bible).
    • Yeshua/Joshua” means, “the Lord saves.”
    • Lord” means lord, master, boss, and sir.
    • Son, Son of God, and Only Begotten Son” mean that Jesus is the eternal Son of the Father. These titles indicate that Jesus shares divinity and is with God the Father.
    • The word “Christ” is a title and a translation of the Hebrew term Mashiach (Messiah), meaning “the Anointed One” or “the Chosen One.” Christians believe that Jesus is the Christ who was expected to come into the world to give His life as a sacrifice for the sins of those who believe and dedicate their lives to God through Jesus.
    • I Am” is the name God gave Himself when speaking to Moses from the burning bush on Mount Sinai. This same name “I Am” is the same name that Jesus called Himself. This means that Jesus is God.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God, the third Person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit indwells Christians at conversion and becomes their Teacher, Helper, Advocate, and Comforter.

Man – Mankind

Man was created by God in the image and likeness of God. Adam and Eve sinned, and through them the human race inherited a sinful nature. Therefore, all mankind apart from Christ is sinful, and man’s only hope is forgiveness of sins through the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross.

Salvation – Forgiveness of Sins  – Eternal Home in Heaven

The saving of people from going to hell is called salvation. Salvation is a gift from God and is received through repentance from sin and personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The moment a person decides to follow Jesus as their Lord (Boss) and Savior, they pass from spiritual death to eternal life, and their sins are forgiven.

Water Baptism

Water Baptism does not bring salvation to those who are baptized. Baptism is a symbol of one’s faith and dedication to Jesus. Babies who are baptized do not have the ability to dedicate their lives to Christ. There is no need to baptize a child because they are already accepted by God as his children.

…. Jesus said, allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.” Apostle Matthew 19:14

The Lord’s Supper – Communion

The Lord’s Supper, or Communion, is meant to be a “remembrance of the Lord’s death and sacrifice on the cross.” Believers are cautioned to examine themselves, ensuring they are submitted to Christ before partaking of Communion, so they do not partake in an unworthy manner. The bread and wine (grape juice will suffice) are symbols of the body and blood of Christ and are not actually transformed into the real blood and flesh of Jesus. It is idolatry to venerate, pray, and kneel before bread and wine.

The 2nd Commandment – God spoke to Moses, saying the following.

“God spoke all these words, saying, I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

You shall have no other gods before me.

“You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.” Moses, Prophet of God, Exodus 20:1-4

The second commandment given to Moses strictly prohibits creating and worshipping idols or carved images of anything in heaven, on earth, or in water. It also forbids making any likeness to represent God. As Christians, you must never light candles, follow in processions in reverence to any image, say prayers to, sing songs to, or kneel down before any image, be it a statue or a painting.

Idolatry

Idolatry is the worship, veneration, and service of false gods. Idolatry is a sin against the 2nd Commandment given to Moses on Mount Sinai. Only God (Yahweh) is worthy of worship. When you decide to commit your life to God and remain obedient to Christ, you must never retain any allegiance to false religions or gods. Christians must not be influenced by a mixture of Jesus Christ and false religions.
